Questions this edition is asked
- Why are there no news posts here?
- Because an almanac that files news is a newspaper with a slower press. Anything that moves week to week belongs in the standings, where it is recomputed and dated on every edition. What lives here is what will still be true next year: a rule, a ceiling, a repeal, a document format.
- What does the line under each entry mean?
- It names what the entry stands on. An entry resting on a central bank notice and an entry resting on one affiliate page are not the same kind of writing, and a reader should be told which they are about to read before they read it. It also gives a later edition a way to find every entry affected when a fact underneath it moves.
