The masthead

Ashanti Casino Guide is a numbered almanac of the bookmakers licensed to take a bet in Ghana. Eight of them carry a number in this edition, six do not, and every figure on the site carries the day the source behind it was read.

What an almanac does

It numbers things and it says when it looked. Those are the only two promises here, and everything on the site is one or the other.

The numbering runs on five weighted criteria: getting paid at 36%, welcome terms at 30%, licence and standing at 20%, games and aviator at 8%, reaching a person at 6%. The weighting is an argument rather than a discovery, and it is published in full so that a reader who disagrees with it knows exactly which column to blame. A criterion a record cannot answer is left blank instead of filled in, the average is taken over what could be read, and the percentage is printed under every name.

The dating comes out of the records themselves. Each one is searched for the days it notes somebody reading a source, and those days are printed beside the entry and collected in one table on the standings. Eight of fourteen records carry at least one. The oldest capture anywhere in this edition is printed rather than quietly rounded to the present, because an almanac that hides the age of its oldest figure is not an almanac.

The rule for a number

A book earns a number when it publishes its welcome terms and pays inside two hours. Both, or it stays in the notes.

It is printed above every table this publication produces. A table shorter than the market it covers is either a position or an abandoned piece of research, and the only thing separating the two is the sentence above it and the page that names every exclusion.

What this publication refuses to do

It does not claim to have tested anything: No account has been opened with any bookmaker in Ghana, no money has been deposited and no withdrawal has been timed. Every speed on this site is a figure an operator or a reported source publishes, and each record says which. Two publications in this market shipped straplines implying otherwise and both were rewritten. The cost of the refusal is that the most persuasive sentence in this trade is unavailable here.
It does not rank on price: Several of these books publish odds that can be turned into a margin, and the margins on file were computed on baskets so different that a single column would flatter whichever book was measured on the narrowest one. A comparison that cannot use the same basis for every row is not a comparison. The cost is a page this almanac cannot write.
It does not print a store rating or a review score: Every public review score available for these brands in Ghana either does not exist, rests on one or two reviews, or belongs to a global page whose reviewers are on another continent. App ratings are country-scoped and several records pair one storefront’s rating with another’s file size. The cost is two columns that readers expect and that would carry a known error.
It does not invent a promotional code: Not one welcome offer in this edition carries a code on the record, so none is printed. A string of letters labelled exclusive is the cheapest thing in this trade to manufacture and the most expensive thing to be caught at.
It does not link to a sister publication: Not in the footer, not in an entry, not anywhere. A ring of sites linking to each other is the clearest signal there is that they are one operation wearing several hats, and a reader who found two of them would be entitled to discount both.

Ghana, stated plainly

The legal age to bet is 18 throughout the country and the regulator is the Gaming Commission of Ghana. There is no national gambling helpline, which is a finding rather than a gap and is set out in its own entry. Winnings are paid in full today: a ten per cent withholding on gross winnings ran from 2023 and was repealed on 2 April 2025, and every sentence on this site about tax carries that date.
